Kokoda Challenge

Established in 2004. Kokoda Youth Foundation supports young Australians, inspiring them to do extraordinary things. We challenge their deeply held beliefs, allowing them to explore their limits and abilities, and provide them with opportunities for personal growth.
Central to Kokoda Youth Foundation is the Spirit of Kokoda, embodying courage, endurance, mateship and sacrifice. These principles take their origin from Australian soldiers who fought on the Kokoda Track in Papua New Guinea during WW11. Still relevant today, KYF has developed programs designed to reignite these timeless values in the younger generation.
The Kokoda Challenge Brisbane is an annual team endurance event located throughout the beautiful D'Anguilar National Park with 3 distances for teams to choose to participate in.
Seville Road State School has entered 2 teams into the 15km event. Each team consists of 4 students and a team leader. We have already commenced training to improve our general fitness and will be moving onto hill training!
