Last week we had 19 students from Yinchuan, China come and stay with 11 of our families and staff.
They then came to our school each day to improve their English and learn more about Australia. Each Chinese student had a Seville Road buddy who helped them during the day and it was lovely to seem them all playing together at lunchtimes. It is an amazing experience for all involved to learn about different cultures and their way of life.
Hosting these groups of students benefit our school financially as well. Proceeds will be going to reduce the cost of our Year 5/6 camp later in the year and also to subsidise our Chaplaincy program.
Thank you again to our fabulous families who welcomed these children into your homes and took such great care of them. Their escort especially wanted to pass on their sincere gratitude. We were lucky enough to be able to pass on some holiday vouchers to these families.
