Education Queensland provides the services of  Developmental Guidance Officers to State Primary Schools. Currently our school has this service two days each week, Monday and Friday. The service aims to identify barriers to learning and engagement at school.

The Guidance Officer engages with parents, school personnel and sometimes community members to enhance students' learning. Assessment, counselling and behaviour support are major aspects of this role.

Referrals for this service are made through the class teacher to the Total Support Network (TSN Team). Occasionally referrals for personal matters are made through the Principal.
